Ammon Craig Wright

Ammon is now 6 weeks old. Maybe it is about time to post some pictures of him!

Coming home from the hospital.

Daddy's special buddy! Craig wasn't to excited about having a boy because we have so much fun with our girls. After Ammon was born Craig just went gaga over him. He LOVES having a boy!

Ammon just a few minutes old. Our hospital had these cute hats for the newborns. Ammon's barely fit him.

Family Pictures

So it sounds kind of silly to take pictures when I am 8 months pregnant but I REALLY wanted to have one more set of pics with the girls. Besides, we haven't done family pictures since '06. Wow, 3 years! I have been slacking! Anyway, Craig's aunt helped us out and they turned out so cute!
This one is a favorite of mine. Not our dog but still really cute! I think Lizzie is begging for a little doggie.

My favorite family picture except for Jasmine didn't open her eyes!

This will be the picture that goes on our wall.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

While we were in Salt Lake last weekend we made some time to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. This temple is just west of the Jordan River temple and it was really kind of neat driving down the freeway and seeing two temples practically side by side.

My Little Hairstylist

As some of you may know, Lizzie has been my child who cuts hair. Only she doesn't cut her own, she takes care of her sisters' hair. She has chopped off one of Alison'd pigtails, she trimmed Jasmine's hair which wasn't noticable so she cut Jasmine's hair again and she ended up with a SHORT haircut.
Well, Lizzie finally decided it was her turn and gave herself som bangs! I have to admit that she did a pretty good job! They were even and just about the perfect length. The only problem was that they only went about two thirds of the way across her forehead. Of course I had to finish them off. So now Lizzie has bangs just like she wanted.
(Picture coming soon)

Here comes number four!

So if you can't tell by the pregnancy ticker, I am going to have a baby!  It's about time!!!!  We have been trying since June.  I have actually been ready for quite some time but I was waiting for my husband to catch up to my way of thinking.  I don't know what he was so nervous about.  He doesn't have to be pregnant for 9 months, he doesn't have to get the baby out after said 9 months, he doesn't change poopy diapers (he calls them "Mommy diapers"), what's the big deal?  Anyway, we are both happy so that is what is important.

By the way, sorry Misty but I don't think I will be running a half marathon in April.  Maybe I will join Dianne in the 5K!

Jasmine's big oops

Here is my little angel child.  She has been smiling her whole life!  She plays well with others, she plays well with herself.  She even potty-trained herself, that's right all by HERSELF! Sure she looks cute but you are looking at a hardened criminal!  The one and only Wal-Mart candy snatcher.

We were checking out at Wal-Mart and I was on the phone at the same time (my first mistake).  Jasmine asked to have a candy and I said no then continued what I was doing (second mistake, I didn't make sure she put the candy back on the shelf).  That little sneak put the candy down the front of her shirt!  Now the other kids have been told that it is stealing if we don't pay for the item but I don't recall ever telling Jasmine (obviously my third mistake).  I didn't even notice that she was holding on to something inside the front of her shirt until I lifted her into the van.  Unfortunately, even though she didn't quite know better, I still had to do something about it.  I took her into the store and made her give the candy back which was torture for her because she hates getting into trouble.  I had also told the kids that we would get some Wendy's on the way home but I didn't want to reward Jasmine with Chicken nuggets right after the incident so I took her home to her Dad then took the other two to Wendy's.  She also got grounded for the rest of the day, no friends and no park.
Such a sad day for a little four-year-old.  I sure hope she has learned her lesson!

Camping in January

The last weekend in January provided some beautiful weather for camping.  Craig and I took some friends out to the Grand Canyon for a short camping trip.  Because of the scary cliffs and stuff we left the kidos with Grandma and Grandpa.  We made ourselves a bed in the back of the jeep and stayed pretty comfortable through the nights.

When I saw Craig down here I almost had a heart attack.  Turns out that there was a good sized ledge that he was standing on.  It still looks scary to me!

This is the same rock that we found a year and a half ago.  This time Craig talked me into going out there with him.

My Baby is four years old!

OK, so this is a little late, back in January my little Jasmine turned 4!  She wanted a cake with a crown so that is what she got.  The great platter is thanks to my Mother-in-law.  It was her birthday present to me.  Thanks Mom!

Jasmine got a Barbie swimming pool from her sisters.  They got to play with it in the kitchen with water and every thing!  I soon learned that this is either a bath toy or an outdoor summer toy.  They were soaking wet and the pool was pretty much emptied on the kitchen floor.

The last picture is with her friend Madison Hill.  They had so much fun at her little birthday party.  We were going to have the party at the park but had to cancel because of rain.  I didn't have games planned so it was really more like a big play date.

Painter's Half Marathon

I was able to participate in the 27th Annual Painter's Half Marathon (& 5K) this last Saturday. By the way, I didn't run in the half, I was in the 5K. It was tons of fun and there were a LOT of people there. It started at around 9:00 in the morning and it was a little chilly although after I started running I warmed right up. My hands were like ice the entire time!! I guess it would be good to invest in a pair of gloves for future winter races!
I was able to get a personal best time in the race. I ran an average of 9.5 minute mile coming in at just under 30 minutes. Whoo hoo!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I turned the big 30!! I had a great day too. While I was driving to the gym I had the realization that I am not a kid any more, and I was OK with that. 30 is the new 20, right?!?! I did 4 miles on the treadmill and it felt great! Good thing 'cus I have a 5K this weekend. Then I went home to get Lizzie some lunch then got her on the bus to go to school. After that I took Craig and Jasmine out to lunch at Bajio, my favorite lunch place. I promised Alison that she could play at the school with her friend so the girls and I spent the the rest of the afternoon playing and getting some energy out (I was hoping to wear them out for bedtime). For dinner Craig took us out to the Olive Garden (my favorite dinner place) and his parents tagged along. Of course, the Olive Garden people sang Happy Birthday to me and we got a little birthday cake that I shared with everyone. After dinner we came home for presents! Some time in the middle of the day I did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen because my desire to have a clean kitchen was greater than my desire to not do any work!

All in all, I had a great day!
